I've been here both during the day and at night. I would say I enjoyed being here during the daytime MUCH better! When I came here during the night hours I felt like it was more of a high school reunion.. Not a fan of the crowd. Kind of a trashy vibe. However, on Saturdays in the afternoon they have bingo which is ALWAYS a good time. Your typical dive bar bingo. Good payouts, caller is not annoying (or too fast/slow), and they usually have a meat raffle going on too. Very nice waitresses that work very hard here! Love this place!

My experience was a little different from Katie's... I actually really enjoyed being here! It may not be the prettiest looking place from the outside, but the amount of fun that I had here was absolutely mind blowing! It was a Sunday so it's not like anything really cool was even happening but after my closer family and I left a get-together we all decided on Bamboo Betty's for a drink afterwards. When we got there we were greeted by the bartender with a shot called a 'Wandering Lesbian.' It was like drinking Kool-Aid! We tried a few more, and then ordered a couple of regular drinks. After a while of being hungry we ordered some nacho's, but the real fun began when we started hanging out with the people sitting around us! The people that come here are freakin fun! They all socialize, hang, and want to chat with you. I think we spent a total of three hours here, but it was so memorable for a mothers day that I look forward to going back there again sometime! And as to what Katie said about the cops presence, that is true.... but if you are planning on getting that drunk while you are there then you should have a sober ride arranged anyways. I do not feel for people that choose to drink and drive, they will have to face any consequences. And I will not let another persons poor choices affect my ability to have fun at a place that is straight out of a Tiki movie!!!

So I went here last night and my experience is a bit different than my previous ones; however, I am still not excessively crazy about the place. They changed the hours of ladies night - it runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8p-10p...I'm not sure why they changed the hours. But I can make assumptions about it...like perhaps the police were sick of literally casing the place because of issues. But I don't know... The service was much better this time, I felt bad for the waitress we had. She was running around all over the place, but when we gave her a tip at the end of ladies night she was surprised and unsure of our tip. She commented on how people don't usually tip on ladies night and she really appreciated that we did. This outraged me. How low-class are the average Betty's goers to not at least tip the people running around to bring them FREE drinks!?!?! Ridiculous!

The food was fantastic but the service was terrible. There were 2 servers on duty and there only about 8 other people in the bar, all of whom were sitting at the bar. We were the only party at a booth. It took forever to get a drink and even longer to get the server to come back for our food order. The cook was pretty fast but the server never went back to the kitchen to get our food. The cook finally brought it out and set in on the bar because he didn't know whose order it was. The server just continued yacking away at the bar while I our food got cold. We finally grabbed our food off the bar and served ourselves.

Good place to relax in non-pretentious atmosphere. They have lots of events and specials. You will have a good time if you do not get hung up on being too refined.

I've been coming here on Thursdays to play Bingo with Grandma. Their games are guaranteed $99 on regular games and two of the games are progressive. There is usually a pretty solid turn out, so if you come here on a Thursday night, get there a little early as they fill up quickly. I've tried some of the food, which has all been pretty legit, considering it's a dive bar. There is a lot of fried food, with no "light" munchy options. Their waffle fries and tater tots are pretty good.

Great dive bar. Interesting crowd here. There were seniors setting up to play bingo, locals, buisiness people in suits/jackets, and bikers! Good mix of all. We went in for happy hour as one of people love it here as a HH bar. Service was good, prices were odd. Noticed a live lobster crane game for $2 a pull. Get a lobster they cook it up. Im sure we will be back in at some point. If you dont like dive bars you wont like this place. Has a great comfortable patio, full mix of different types of people. Not what I would say clean, but good stop for a ice cold beer.

This place was a bit outside my box of comfort but went for a friends birthday party anyways. It is about 30 minutes or more outside the city and looks like a cabin from the outside. It looked like a typicaly dive bar in NE on the inside. The service was great for a large party of hungry and thirsty animals. We were able to get happy hour drinks and some appetizers until 8pm I believe on a Friday. After a certain time this place must turn into the local "club" for all the early 20 somethings. While I was there a band was setting up all their gear. I didn't really want to stick around for transformation and got out of there before the cover charge started.

Okay selection, ample seating with a sweet patio too, and nice bartenders. If they turned off a few of the neon signs inside there might be a good ambiance inside as well.
